SKCWA Intermediate Award

For some time the Club has recognised that quite a gap exists between Australian Canoeing's Basic Skills and Sea Skills Awards. The Sea Kayak Club of WA is in the process of defining a Club-based Award which we call the SKCWA Intermediate Award. At the 2009 AGM, with the development of this Award in sight, the Club rolled out paddler logbooks to facilitate assessment by qualified Trip Leaders and Instructors. Intermediate Award holders would have a range of more challenging paddles available to them than Basic Skills Award paddlers. Those members wishing to have their skill level recognised by the Club as being at the new Intermediate standard can view the list of requirements here.
